ÁÓÚ Erotic Sex Shop
„This is my project of a fictional Sex Shop, designed to change the way these shops are perceived and to somewhat suppress the taboos and shyness about the prospect of visiting them. The first and important element in the concept was the name of the shop; I didn't want to blatantly include the words "erotic" or "sex" in the logo. The resultant logo is composed of interjections of pleasure, arousal and satisfaction - it became the most cogent denotation or label of my sex shop. The applications are in their essence pleasurable; the screens that are made using the logo create varying symbols but always work with the logo brand.“

Věra Marešová studied the Department of Graphic Design and Visual Communication at the Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague. She specializes in corporate identity, and, since 2008, she has been a freelance graphic designer for Czech Television. In 2005, she won the Czech National Design Award for the logo and corporate identity for the City of Brno. She has also had commissions for the Ministry of Transport and the Ekofilm International Festival.
